Abstract
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease and it has a prevalence of 15-20% in children and 1-3% in adults. AD is commonly characterized by intense itching, eczematous lesions, increased serum IgE levels, and defective epidermal barrier. Clinical studies have demonstrated that the house dust mite (HDM) allergens are associated with AD. Previously, miR-146a-deficient mice have been shown to develop stronger skin inflammation in a mouse model of AD induced by vitamin 3D analogue MC903.
