Abstract
In this paper, the orthotropic mechanical characteristics of the fiber-reinforced rubbers (FRR) were estimated. These rubbers have two kinds of reinforcing fibers in the body. Therefore, it has orthotropic characteristic in each fiber direction. Cycle tensile loading tests in each direction were conducted. Image instrumentation system was applied to calculate the stretch of specimens to avoid the slippage of fixing jigs. In all angles, showed stress softening which is caused by damage of fiber and viscous effect. Also, an anisotropichyperelastic model was applied to the numerical analysis. We used the Mooney-Rivlin model as an isotropic component The combination of modified Itskov model and additional models were proposed as the anisotropic components. In addition, the stress softening functions were introduced into the warp yarn's component and the weft yarn's component. The FEM analysis showed good agreement with the loading test results. The applicability of the proposed model was shown.
