Abstract

Since its very first discovery in 2004, graphene has gained enormous attention of researchers from various fields of study. Among a number of different applications, its potential in flexible display applications sparked a renewed interest of scientists in relevant areas. This chapter discusses the atomic structure, synthesis, electronic band structure, optical, electrical, and mechanical properties of graphene that are deemed to be key for future display applications.
