Abstract
Energy Internet is a grand vision for future electric power system in which ubiquitous ownership, ubiquitous use, and ubiquitous sharing of electric energy can be achieved in real time. To facilitate the realization of such a vision, addressable and intelligent energy routers need to be developed. This chapter discusses the concept of Energy Internet, Energy Router, and how solid-state transformer can be utilized as an energy router in the Energy Internet.
