Abstract

When we read ”1Q84” (2009-2010) of Haruki Murakami as a love story, the memory of ”the classroom of the elementary school after school” is a notable scene. It is a device of the memory reproduction. Tengo has revivified ”the classroom of the elementary school after school” as ”explicit memory”. In contrast, Aomame keeps it as ”implicit memory”. ”1Q84” has the composition of a man (Tengo) who is recognizing love by ”explicit memory” and the woman (Aomame) who is convinced of love by ”implicit memory”. It leads to the composition called ”an afraid man and the woman who is not afraid” that are man and woman relations of the Soseki literature. A memory of Tengo which ”white cloud” and ”moon” are accompanied by in ”the high sky” in the memory of ”the classroom of the elementary school after school” is similar to the scene where Sanshiro has watched ”white cloud” with Mineko in ”Sanshiro” (1908) of Soseki. In an interview, Haruki Murakami state that I likes ”Sanshiro” of Soseki. Haruki Murakami has replaced the thing which he internalized through a reading act of ”Sanshiro” with a story of own memory and remembrance. And he has substituted it for ”classroom scenery of the elementary school after school” which is a device of the memory reproduction in ”1Q84”.This may be called the composition of the creative allegory by Haruki Murakami.
