Abstract

The authors have investigated the temperature dependence of the proton spin-lattice relaxation T 1 and viscosity in polyethers of varied composition. The intramolecular contribution and the size of the macromolecules in T 1 are evaluated. The activation energies of the relaxation process and viscous flow are determined. The PMR spectra of the polyethers are studied and the possible structural changes at raised temperatures considered. A technique is proposed for evaluating the coefficients of mutual and self-diffusion in the polyether-water system.
