Abstract

The title compound, C19H21NOS2, arose as an unexpected product in a bis-chalcone synthesis. The dihedral angle between the two ring planes is 31.87 (14)degrees. Both terminal methyl groups are disordered over two positions each; the site occupancy ratios are 0.56:0.44 and 0.65:0.35. In the crystal structure, adjacent molecules are linked into C( 2) chains propagating along 010] by way of N-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds.
