Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the double mediation effect of perceived controland relative deprivation on the relationship between COVID-19 stress and gambling severity. Forthis purpose, data were collected from an online survey of 215 adults in their 20~30snationwide and analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 21.0. As a result, First, there was asignificant correlation between all variables. Second, the mediating effect of perceived controlwas significant in the relationship between COVID-19 stress and gambling severity. Third, themediating effect of relative deprivation was significant in the relationship between COVID-19stress and gambling severity. Fourth, the double mediating effect of perceived control andrelative deprivation in the relationship between COVID-19 stress and gambling severity wassignificant. Significance and limitations were discussed based on the results of this study, andimplications for future research were proposed.
