Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the experience and meaning of participation in acceptance commitment therapy program for promoting psychological flexibility of perfectionistic college students. By examining how the core process of acceptance and commitment therapy actually works on participants within the program, we aim to provide basic data for intervention of perfectionistic college students. Data from 7 college students, including 9-session activity sheets, behavioral observations, verbatim transcripts, and interviews, were collected and analyzed. As a result, First, participants in the program reported changes across six categories. Second, these changes were found to be experienced through five factors of change.
