Abstract
Temporomandibular joint replacement (TMJR) is a successful treatment option aimed to improve mandibular function and form, and alleviate pain in patients with end-stage TMJ disorders. Identifying the causes of failure is important to improve the longevity of TMJR considering the significant detrimental effects on both the patient and the healthcare system. We aim to investigate if there were any identifiable trends in patients having TMJ prosthesis removal.
