Abstract
The chapter defines the principles of Independency in geometrical tolerancing. The chapter presents each requirement of tolerancing ISO 8015 diagram of geometric tolerencing independently unless a particular relationship is specified on a drawing. The Principle of Independency applies when using International Standards (ISO-standards) but not when using American National Standards (ANSI).
