Abstract
The effect of composition of support was investigated on the catalytic performance of ruthenium (Ru) supported on manganese-alumina (Mn 2 O 3 /Al 2 O 3 ) for the Fischer-Tropsch (FT) synthesis reaction. The BET surface area, pore volume and Ru dispersion increased by increasing alumina loading. Optimum alumina loading of support was 70-80 mass%. Ru/Mn 2 O 3 /Al 2 O 3 catalyst showed high activity for FT synthesis reaction with low CH 4 selectivity and high C 5 + hydrocarbon selectivity maintained.
