Abstract

Assuming imperfect channel state information (CSI), we propose a resource allocation policy that maximizes the achievable sum rate in uplink and accounts for the power consumption due to non-ideal circuitry. The proposed policy assumes that the energy harvesting units (EHUs) in a single transmission spend only a part of the available harvested energy in their batteries, and save the rest of it for future use. By simulation, we evaluate the influence of the number and the power of the pilot symbols, and the number of EHUs to the achievable sum rate. Additionally, we estimate the loss in the achievable sum rate compared to the system with perfect CSI.
