Abstract
This chapter discusses the preparation and properties of poly(vinyl chloride)/epoxidized natural rubber (ENR)/kenaf powder composites. The effects of maleic anhydride compatibilizers (PE-g-MA and PVC-g-MA), dynamic vulcanization, and sodium dodecyl sulfate filler treatment on the tensile properties, thermooxidative ageing properties, and thermal stability were reported. All three methods exhibited a positive effect on properties of poly (vinyl chloride)/ENR/kenaf powder composites where the most outstanding results were obtained with maleic anhydride compatibilizers.
