Abstract

Nanotechnology offers substantial prospects for the development of innovative products and it is expected that the number of nanotechnology-based products will increase in the future. A number of promising applications are emerging, such as, smart packaging, nanosensors for pathogen detection, agrochemical nanoformulations, and nanoencapsulation of food ingredients for chemical preservation and shelf life extension.
