2 Syngene International Ltd., Bangalore, Karnataka, India Abstract: The title compound, [1-(4-chlorophenyl)cyclopropyl](piperazin-1yl)methanone, was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectral data. With an intention to couple these two bioactive molecules, in this research paper, we report the linking of piperazine with 1-(4-chlorophenyl)cyclopropanecarboxylic acid through an amide bond. 1-(4-Chlorophenyl)cyclopropanecarboxylic acid (2.00 g, 0.0102 mol, 1.0 eq) was dissolved in dry tetrahydrofuran (20 mL).
