Abstract
The chain structure and the crystal structure of isotactic poly-o-methylstyrene are reported here. The chain shows a four-fold symmetry (Fig. 1) with an identity period of 8·10 Å, the unit cell is tetragonal (I 41cd) with axes a = b = 19·01 Å and c = 8·10±0·05Å.
