Abstract
The use of admixtures is a recent development in the field of cement and concrete technology and a number of products both inorganic and organic have been proposed as admixture. Various effects that each of them can produce make their classification difficult, however, they are generally subdivided into admixtures for cement and admixtures for concrete. The former is used to improve the technological process of cement production and the latter to modify the particular properties of cement mortar and concrete.
