Abstract

1. The contributions made by the Py and PyNO fragments to the13C chemical shifts of the studied dipyridyls were estimated. 2. The distribution of the total electron density on the carbon atoms in dipyridyl N-oxides was determined, and the chemical shifts were correlated with the distribution of the electron density.
