Abstract

A poster presentation is an easy and simple way to communicate results of a research work. However, the scientific content has to be strong and clearly presented. The author has to respect carefully different steps in order to succeed. To submit an abstract is the first step. This abstract has to mention the names of the author(s) and the title ofthe study. It is at least divided into three different parts: the objectives of the study, the methodology that was used and the main results. If accepted, the poster is built according to the organizer's guidelines. The dimensions of the paper support and the hanging material are usually defined as well as the modalities of presence of the author near his poster. The following elements must appear on the poster in a logical way: title of the study, names of the author(s), abstract, objectives of the study, methodology, description of the sample, data analysis, results (figures, charts, photographs, etc.) and conclusions. In order to be read by the public, it has to be attractive. Special attention will be given to the paper colour, the size of the letters. The whole thing must catch the eye.
