Abstract

In the Mongol invasions of Korea, there were appeared leaders who surrendered to Mongol with his people. The Mongol empire has given them their authority to rule the newly surrendered group of Goryeo people. Through this process, Goryeo people group in liaodong began to form.BR The relationship between these groups and Goryeo dynasty was not generally favorable. the situation which has a similar base each other, is often caused disputes. And each of them is trying to keep the Mongol empire on its side. In addition, during the period when times of unstable relationship between Goryeo dynasty and Mongol empire, some of disputes were encouraged by empire.BR The conflicting aspects of the Goryeo royal family and the Goryeo people groups in Liaodong were different according to the time and the phases. The main opposition groups, such as the Hong clan(military officer), the King of Shenyang(feudal lord), and the Qi clan(royal family of the empire), have been confronted with the Goryeo royal family in different ways, with taking their capabilities and position into account.
