Abstract

The various grades of geometrical optics teaching at King's College, London, are briefly outlined. Experience has shown the Abbe method, as developed in Drude's Optics, to be the most instructive method for both the special and general honours courses. It is suggested that the Physical Society should set up a representative committee to select a system of sign convention and notation and press for its general adoption.
