Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of walking exercise on Inflammatory cytokine, blood lipid ratio in obese women. In this study, 26 subjects were participated for this study during 12 weeks, one group as exercise group(n=13) and the other as control group(n=13). The untrained obese women in I city voluteered to participate in this study. Analytical items were Inflammatory cytokine (adiponectin, TNF-⍺), blood lipid ratio(TC/HDL-C, TG/HDL-C, LDL-C/HDL-C) and % body fat. Analytical items were performed at pretest, 12weeks. All data were expressed as mean±sd by using SPSS package program(win 12.0).<BR> The results of this study were as follows ;<BR> 1. Inflammatory cytokine( adiponectin, TNF-⍺) showed significance after 12weeks waling exercise in exercise group, but showed no significance in control group.<BR> 2. Blood lipid ratio(TC/HDL-C, TG/HDL-C, LDL-C/HDL-C) showed significance after 12weeks waling exercise in exercise group, but showed no significance in control group.<BR> The results suggest that the walking exercise could be helpful to improve obesity and to prevent cardiovascular disease risk by body fat.
