Abstract
This century has witnessed a revolution in nanodrug delivery systems to meet the increasing demands of managing chronic inflammatory diseases. As nanodrug delivery poses certain limitations in the form of uncontrolled drug release, drug leakages, and nonspecific biodistribution, smart drug delivery systems have come into focus to address these issues for delivering the drug in controlled and timely manner at precise location. This chapter focuses on the various smart drug delivery systems that are stimuli responsive such as redox, enzyme pH, temperature, and magnet and responsive drug delivery systems that are promising in delivering natural drugs that help to cure numerous inflammatory diseases.
