Abstract

Nanomaterials and nanotechnologies being distinctively advantageous have proved to be successful in various industrial applications. Ability of providing responsive releases in nanocontainers has been the major driving force in delivery applications. Recent literature has witnessed the variety of synthesis and characterization methods to cater for being application oriented. The present articles describe the various synthesis methodologies to produce such nanocontainers for specific applications. Extensive review on synthesis techniques such as ultrasonic, layer-by-layer, polymeric, silica-based is elaborated in detail. The chapter further describes the successful delivery of industry specific active molecule such as drug, corrosion inhibitor, flavor, and aroma.
