Abstract
This chapter deals with the packages used in France to dispose of radioactive waste. The chapter first presents packages that are produced and used for the disposing of low-level and intermediate-level short-lived waste in existing repositories. It then presents packages that are under development for the disposal of all other types of radioactive waste (including high-level and long-lived waste), and for which the repositories are in the design phase.
