Abstract

The purpose of the present study is investigated the microstructures and mechanical properties of TMT of the Fe-10Ni-5Cr-1Co-1Mn-1Mo-0.8Ti-0.8 Nb-0.3Al-0.1C alloy by using of OM, SEM, TEM, XRD, tensile testing machine. Based on the present studies, some results are describing as following: Being solution heat treatments on 1100℃/1H, the microstructure of the present alloy are a fully plate-matensite phase belonging to the B.C.C. structure with the lattice parameter a=0.287 nm, and a carbide of (Nb,Ti)C belonging to the F.C.C. structure with the lattice parameter a=0.439. During the aging process in the 450℃, the microstructure of the present alloy is a α phase belonging to the B.C.C. structure. During the aging process in the 550℃, some α′-phase particles and acicular precipitations of ω phase were formed within the matrix. When aged at 650℃, some austenite phase region was found. The alloy is under the circumstances of that traditional heat treatment and thermo-mechanical treatment (TMT) and being aging process after TMT, we can find circumstances of TMT can improve the tensile strength and yield strength about 20~80 ksi. And under the circumstances that being aging process after TMT, can improve the tensile strength and yield strength about 40~100 ksi. The optimum process is aging process in the 450℃/1H after forge for 1100 quenching to 650℃, the tensile strength, yield strength and elongation of these specimen, could reach to the 218.9 ksi, 210.7 ksi, 8.5%, respectively.
