Abstract

Thermo-responsive polymer nanocomposites have become a significant area of research in the last three decades in terms of low cost, thermal stability, biocompatibility, and higher flexibility. These are intelligent or smart materials that can respond to temperature deviations, making them valuable materials in drug delivery, tissue engineering, and gene delivery. Drug-loaded thermo-responsive polymeric nanocomposites have great potential for therapeutic applications because of their biochemical properties. In this chapter, we discuss graphene-based, hydrogel-based, and polymer-based thermo-responsive nanocomposites, their synthetic methods, and applications.
