Abstract
Sustainability is the new vision of industrial foray, and textile industry is not untouched by this. Discontinuation of synthetic dyes for their harmful effects has started, and textile dyeing units are looking for potential, robust (in terms of color and wash fastness), and abundant (in terms of lasting availability) natural dye sources for adoption with water and energy-saving newer technologies. For effective commercial use of natural dyes, the appropriate standardized dyeing techniques have to be implemented without contaminated wastewater discharged after dyeing process having negative impact on environment.
