Abstract
In this chapter, the ALE formulation of the finite volume method is proposed for the simulation of compressible fluid flow. Two major topics of the discrete geometric conservation lawgeometric conservation law and mesh deformationmesh deformation algorithm in this chapter are to handle the moving boundary problem accurately and efficiently. Three examples are given to verify the effectiveness of the presented methods in multiphysics simulation for aerospace engineering problems.
