Abstract

This chapter handles the applications of wastes in foamed concretes. Foamed concretes are materials that are being utilized increasingly around the world. Foamed concretes are generated via controllable and economical cell-forming processes called preformed foaming. These processes depend on hydrolyzed protein foaming agents. Usually, foamed concretes are classified as lightweight concretes or mortars, where foaming agents entrap the air-void systems in the mortars or concretes. Its properties are high thermal insulation, low compressive strengths, coarse or minimal fine aggregate contents, low self-weights, and self-flowability characteristics. The goal of this chapter is to present the applications of waste materials in substituting cements minimizes the total amounts of chief materials utilized in the concrete production, and waste material recycling significantly reduces their adverse impacts on the environment. There, more sustainable methods of manufacturing formed concretes might become standard in the sector.
