Abstract

The chemical reactivity of magnesium oxide is influenced by a number of factors, such as the precursor material and calcination history. There are numerous methods that can be used to measure reactivity, however, there is little correlation between methodologies. This chapter discusses the factors that influence chemical reactivity and the various methods used to measure it.
