Abstract

The meaning of European values in modern cultural and educational spaces creating in Ukraine in the XIXth century on the base of old and new idea of Europe based on Niklas Luhmann and Norbert Elias methodologies which in its turn led to the regionalization of interpretative schemes of transcultural meanings of the idea of Europe and European values is revealed in the article. Especially it concerns the idea of freedom and the idea of justice which are articulated differently in the contexts of pre-modern and modern cultures as positive and negative freedom accordingly in modus of which understanding of justice deprived of resentment reactions is formed..EuropeanUniversityidea develops academic freedom, which is based on respect to human dignity, pluralism of opinions, world out-looks, religions. Demand of postconventional morality forming which is necessary for constructive assimilation of European values with human dignity articulation, defines main intentionality of Skovoroda tradition, which opens the prospect of Ukrainian society spiritual renewal. The translator of the first as well as of the second number of meaning as well known is philosophy. In this regard, the focus should be on variety of philosophical experience forms and its representations, which structures cultural as well as educational spaces, new approach to which is determined also by calls of modern cultural globalization, historical backgrounds of which were formed in Ukraine in the ХІХ th century on the territory of Slobozhanshchina, where during that time multicultural society of modern format was structuring.
