Abstract
γ-radiolysis of 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine in neutral oxygen saturated aqueous solutions leads to the folowing products: hydrogen bromide, hydrogen peroxide, organic peroxides, isodialuric acid deoxyriboside, deoxyuridine, deoxyribosylurea, urea, deoxyribose and 5-bromouracil. In addition some unidentified products are formed. The main products are isodialuric acid deoxyriboside and hydrogen bromide.
