Abstract

Poly(acrylic acid)–metal nanocomposites were synthesized by irradiating the solutions of metal ions (Ag +, Cu 2+, Ni 2+) in acrylic acid monomer with γ-ray. The products are characterized by XRD and TEM. It was found that the nanometer metal particles are well dispersed in poly(acrylic acid) with a narrow-size distribution.
