Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the concept of "military culture" for the correctness of its use in the philosophy of culture. The publication presents the positions of various authors regarding the essence of the "military culture" construct and their assessments on the issue of the correctness of its use in philosophy and cultural studies. The paper shows that all the studied studies on this topic can be divided according to the problematic principle into those in which this concept receives a status certainty in humanitarian knowledge and those in which the correctness of its introduction into scientific circulation is denied. The scientific novelty lies in substantiating the need for a cultural-philosophical analysis of the phenomenon of military culture. As a result, it was established that the concept of "military culture" has a significant heuristic potential for analyzing the transitional state of modern Russian society from the standpoint of the philosophy of culture.
