Abstract

Abstract Pseu.do.glu.ta.mi.ci.bac'ter. Gr. adj. pseudês false; N.L.masc. n. Glutamicibacter a bacterial genus name; N.L. masc. n. Pseudoglutamicibacter false Glutamicibacter . Actinobacteria / Actinobacteria / Micrococcales / Micrococcaceae / Pseudoglutamicibacter The genus Pseudoglutamicibacter contains the two species Pseudoglutamicibacter albus and Pseudoglutamicibacter cumminsii . Cells show coryneform morphology, are nonmotile, and do not form spores. The two species share 99.1% 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity. The peptidoglycan type is A4α (Lys–Ala–Glu or Lys–Ser–Glu). The quinone system contains menaquinone MK‐8(H 2 ) as the major component. The polar lipid profile is more complex than in most species of related genera. Major polar lipids are diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, dimannosylglyceride, and three unidentified phospholipids. Phosphatidylinositol is present. Major fatty acid is anteiso‐C 15:0 . High amounts of iso‐C 16:0 and anteiso‐C 17:0 are also present. The type strains of the two species have been isolated from human blood and urine, respectively. DNA G + C content (mol%) : 60–62. Type species : Pseudoglutamicibacter cumminsii Busse 2016, 32 VP .
