Abstract

Chry.se.o.glo'bus. Gr. adj. chryseos, golden; L. masc. n. globus ball; N.L. masc. n. Chryseoglobus yellow ball. Actinobacteria / Actinobacteria / Micrococcales / Microbacteriaceae / Chryseoglobus Cells are Gram‐positive, nonsporulating, motile, catalase‐positive, oxidase‐negative, pleomorphic, and short slender rods . Bulbous protuberances are formed at the ends or in the middle of the cell . Colonies are yellow, translucent, and circular. Produce diffusible yellow pigments. Cell wall peptidoglycan contains d ‐lysine as diamino acid and acetyl residues found in glycan moiety . The respiratory quinones are MK‐12 , MK‐13, and MK‐14 . Mycolic acids are not present. Polar lipids are diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, and unidentified glycolipids. Branched saturated fatty acids are predominant. DNA G + C content (mol%) : 68.3 ( T m ). Type species : Chryseoglobus frigidaquae Baik, Park, Kim, Lee and Seong 2010, 1314 VP .
