Abstract

The article is devoted to the evaluation of the results of experimental implementation of flexible software development methodology under conditions of small business in power industry. The purpose of the study is to evaluate implementation of Agile methodology of software development management under conditions of Promenergo LLC case production. The choice of the research object is due to the availability of factual data and involvement of the author in the activities of software development department. The methodological basis of the study is Agile methodology as a concept of flexible approach to project management. The research methods are experiment, observation, comparison, and field sociological research – interview survey. Flexible project management is considered on the example of hybrid Scrumban methodology. The results of the research are achieving stable software version based on the results of the 5th sprint, developing strict regulations for the software versions, participation of the entire team in decision-making, reducing the number of defects by 10%, reducing the number of "lost tasks" to 4-6%, and increasing satisfaction with operational processes by 43%. Agile methodology demonstrated effectiveness under conditions of power industry production, which directly depends on the developed software solution. Implementation of the basic principles of Agile methodology does not require additional human, material and financial resources, which makes them available for use in the teams of small and medium-sized enterprises.
