Abstract

In the article the nature, functions and specificities of implementing the competence-based approach are considered, theoretical analysis of scientific sources is accomplished to survey the history of its origin and the specificities of implementing this approach in educational praxis. The social roles that contribute to the formation of sociocultural competence in the Ukrainian language lessons at the primary school are considered. The researcher defines the methods and techniques that are fundamental in the formation of sociocultural competence on the syntax of the simple sentence. A step-by-step algorithm for the formation of sociocultural competence on the syntax of a simple sentence is given. In addition, the article defines the features of the competence approach in the lessons of the Ukrainian language in the basic school, the place of sociocultural competence in the hierarchy of school competences is specified, the components of the competence approach are investigated, the components of this competence are determined. The problem of socialization of the eight-graders is considered and practical recommendations for its formation are given.
