Abstract

The paper aims to address the problem of the demographic processes of the rural population of Bryansk governorate in the first half of the 1920s. The scientific originality of the research is determined by the fact that it introduces new archival sources into scientific circulation and interprets the facts in terms of the contemporary view of the dynamics of Bryansk rural social structure in the first years of the new economic policy. As a result of the comparative analysis of the quality of life markers, it has been identified that the dynamics of the reproduction of Bryansk rural population actualized the importance of the additional measures taken by the central and local authorities, as well as the employment of active social-demographic policy.
