Abstract

For the first time, the history of the nonconformist publishing house «Third Wave» is being reconstructed under the journal of the same name. The role of the famous collector A. D. Glezer. Provides a historiographic review of the study of the topic. Unusual nonconformist books of the «Third Wave» and authors S. D. Dovlatov, V. E. Maksimov, Yu. V. Mamleev, A. P. Platonov, Yu. K. Therapiano and others attract the attention of modern domestic readers. A thematic and typological analysis of the publishing house’s products is given. The article analyses the memoirs published by A. D. Glezer, B. G. Bazhanova, O. Ya. Rabin, M. R. Kheifits and an anthology about N. S. Gumilev. Shows the art history and cultural nature of the orientation of the publishing house “Third Wave”. The participation of famous artists-emigrants V. Dlugi, M. M. Shemyakin, A. L. Khvostenko, Bakhchanyan, G. I. Kopelyan, O. N. Tselkova et al. The role and influence of the publishing house in the culture of the third emigration is analysed. The circulation of books and albums of the Third Wave publishing house is being revealed. The unrealized plans of the publishing house were revealed.
