Abstract

The purpose of the study is to reveal the features of the stereotypes of femininity in Soviet society, broadcasted through the works of late Soviet cinema. The research uses a gender approach based on the principle of interdisciplinarity. The author argues that the specificity of the representation of female images and normative models of femininity was a demonstration of three main models of female self-realization: «woman leader», «woman mother», «woman consumer», and reveals the similarities and differences of these three types.
