Abstract

The Korean church has become shrunk as a result of the outbreak of COVID-19 two years ago. In particular, it is no exaggeration to say that evangelism and mission for the Generation Z becomes significantly declined. For this reason, this essay argues the “Three Encounters” of Pentecostal mission – Power Encounter, Truth Encounter and Allegiance Encounter – as an alternative missional way to reach out the generation Z during the current COVID-19 era. In this article, the statistics of world mission shows that the generation Z of the Pentecostal/Charismatic churches, centered at the empirical experience of spirituality, are growing in numbers as a result of the “Three Encounters.” More specifically, I suggest “Multisite Generation Z ministry, Online Platform ministry, and Storytelling to Story-living ministry” as the contextualized effective ministry tools for the Generation Z during the COVID-19 era.
