Abstract

The biobibliographic essay is dedicated to Lev Andreevich Zhakov (April 15, 1923 – March 17, 2005), Doctor of Biological Sciences and Professor, who during his career worked in the Laboratory of Lake Science of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Vologda State Pedagogical Institute, and Yaroslavl State University. The article presents Lev A. Zhakov's life milestones, scientific areas he devoted himself to, and contributions he made to ichthyology, fisheries, aquatic ecology, and limnology, as well as a list of scientific papers including 49 titles.
