Abstract

The algorithm for the detection of small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) based on the analysis of the acoustic emission signals is developed. The research shows that the UAV acoustic signal is the sum of harmonics with multiple frequencies. Therefore, as a criterion for the reliable detection of such signals in realization of the received signal at least three components with multiple harmonic frequencies are taken. To separate the spectral components of the signal periodogram was used. The threshold processing in the frequency domain in accordance with the developed algorithm is implemented. It uses statistical quality indicator of the received spectral estimation. According to this algorithm, at high signal to noise ratio (SNR) the threshold value is calculated according to the characteristics of the signal, and at the low - value for the following sampling frequency processing steps. The efficiency of developed modeling of acoustic signals detection was verified by statistical modeling.Aat lower values of SNR probability of detection can be improved by increasing the probability of false alarm to detect or mitigate the criterion requirements.
