Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyse the experience of implementing multilingual education in preschool educational organisations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The paper presents the interim results of a study conducted in preschool educational organisations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Scientific novelty lies in identifying three models of multilingual education in preschool educational organisations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia): teaching a native language - a foreign language - the Russian language; teaching a native language and the Russian language; teaching the Russian language and a native language. As a result of a diagnostic testing of speech development in Russian, Yakut and English among preschool children, the effectiveness of all three models of multilingual education in preschool educational organisations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has been proved.
