Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree of administrative empowerment and its relationship with the level of job satisfaction for the academic department female’s heads in Hail University. This study is based on the points of view of department heads to identify the differences depending on the following variables: specialization in educational administration, the experience, and interaction between them. Moreover, it aimed to identify the relationship between degree of administrative empowerment and job satisfaction in the second time. To achieve the goal of the study, researcher built a questionnaire in order to measure the degree of empowerment included 18 paragraphs distributed in three areas. In addition, a questionnaire was built to measure the degree of job satisfaction included 15 paragraphs. These questionnaires were verified and randomly distributed for the sample of the study composed of (149) of the female leaders of academic department in the University of Hail. Study results showed that the degree of overall arithmetic averages of the degree of empowerment for the areas of study were moderate, and the paragraphs of the level of job satisfaction moderate degree. The study showed also, that there were no differences due to the impact of specialization. However, there are differences related to the impact of experience in favor of less than 5 years. Study analyses proved that there were no differences attributable to the effect of interaction between the variables. In addition, there are no differences for all variables for the level of job satisfaction. The results also showed a positive relationship between the degree of administrative empowerment and job satisfaction among female leaders. The researcher recommended paying attention to work on increasing the empowerment of female leaders at Hail University, and conducting similar studies in different education sectors.
