Організація музичної освіти Чернігівщини на початку ХХ століття

Abstract

The publication is devoted to the coverage of the pages of the history of cultural life of Chernihiv region. The article focuses on the importance of musical education for the spiritual enrichment and development of youth, for a full-fledged socio-cultural life of the region. The basic stages, directions and forms of organization of professional music education of the region in the beginning of the 20th century are determined. The preconditions of creation and opening of the branch of the Russian music society in Chernihiv region are considered. In the main part, an analysis of the status of musical education, the degree of itsprofessionalism and the level of amateurism is carried out. Using the functioning of the music society of the IRMT as an example an integrated approach to the case is explored as well as a following different direction of thinking about the professional development of musical education. A comparison of the amateur direction in education and professionalism in all its manifestations is made. The scientific substantiation of the priority directions in the development of musical professionalization is conducted. The conclusions indicate favorable conditions for the organization of educational institutions, cultural societies and centers. The high artistic potential of the Chernihiv community at the national and regional levels is noted.
