Abstract
The purpose of this article is to clarify the system of making teams in design organizations. In a sense design work is a connection in many different staffs. So, there are problems of human factor. The results of this study are as follows; 1) Typology of design teams: Design teams are classified into 10 types from five aspects. Each type of design team has a different purpose and characteristic features. Such as, combined or separated in equipment and structure planning staffs, specialized or generalized in building use, project oriented or team oriented, continuous or partial in design process, independent or subordinate in decision-making. 2) Characteristics of organization structure I Designers organizations are characterized from three aspects, composition of departments, a team unit size in a design organizations and control system of design process and decision making. 3) Design team types and organization structure: A type of design team is determined by the combination of these characteristics of organization structure.
